Changes ok for Panthers as they look to Post Season

COLUMBUS, Ohio A season of changes and new challenges welcomed the 2009-10 Ohio Dominican women's soccer team. One year removed from their first trip to the NAIA National Tournament ODU changed the dynamic of the team with the naming of new head coach Jonathan Meade .   Meade would replace former head coach Paul Habrecht who not only led the Panthers to their first national appearance, but also led ODU to three conference titles.   Seemingly, change would be okay for the Panthers as they excelled in their new system and with an 11-3-2 record will return to the post season.  more

Panthers Finish Season Unbeaten at Home

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The 25th ranked Ohio Dominican women's soccer team concluded their regular season schedule on Saturday evening under the lights of Panther Field with a very physical 2-1 win over the Cavaliers of Walsh University. The Panthers battled their way to their 11th win of the season and sixth win on their home turf.

Ohio Dominican found their offense early in the opening half when Sierra Patterson (So., Brecksville, OH) collected an offering from Jennifer Holton, (Fr., Johnstown, OH) beating the keeper in the 8th minute for an early 1-0 lead. Walsh's defensive third and goalkeeping helped to keep the game close as they turned away the remaining scoring threats from ODU to trail 1-0 at the half time break.  more
